Cops Brag on Facebook About Tiny Pot Bust, Then The Internet Destroyed Them
By: Matt Agorist
Madison County, GA — In spite of their best and most tyrannical intentions, the police state is losing the information war in regards to the war on drugs.
No longer do the majority of Americans buy into the reefer madness that was used for decades to wage a racist and vile campaign that destroyed everything it touched. However, in spite of the fact that they are losing the information war, the dinosaur drug warriors continue to charge on — after all, their paychecks and pensions depend on it.
A recent Facebook post this week, by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, highlights the utter failure that is the war on drugs. On Sunday morning, the department took to social media to brag about a pot bust that took place overnight. The poorly written post read as follows:
Sheriff Moore and his Deputies working hard to keep Madison County safe. 1 am on a late Saturday night, early Sunday Morning, and they are getting it done. More dopers in the Madison County Detention Center. And btw, looks like it’s packaged to sell so that’s one of the dealers!!!! Keep it up guys! Be safe, Be Diligent!!!
The mindset that this department has to have to brag, publicly, about kidnapping and caging otherwise entirely innocent people for possessing a plant is telling, to say the least. However, as the comments below the Facebook post illustrate, this mindset is changing.
Cannabis has been shown to kill cancer cells, save the lives of countless epileptic children, treat PTSD, heal bones, treat brain trauma, and a slew of other medical uses science is only beginning to understand. And yet, the only thing dangerous about this incredible plant is the fact that police will kidnap, cage, or kill you for possessing it.
In spite of medical cannabis being legal in some fashion in 28 states and recreationally legal in another eight states, the government still violently and with extreme prejudice continues to seek out those who dare possess it.
If the CDC calculated the number of deaths inflicted by police while enforcing marijuana laws, that number would certainly be shocking and could even be deemed a risk to public health. Marijuana is, indeed, dangerous, but only because of what can happen to you if the police catch you with it.
Nothing highlights the hypocrisy, immorality, and sheer lunacy of the drug war quite like marijuana prohibition, and the only ones who continue to enforce the immoral and tyrannical act of marijuana prohibition are those who profit from it — like the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.
However, thanks to the unapologetic internet and the massive dissemination of knowledge it facilitates, the days of pot tyranny are numbered.
After the hilarious and furious backlash, the sheriff’s department was forced to pull the post as hundreds of comments pointed out the immoral and hypocritical nature of this image.
Below are some of the best comments on the now deleted post that helped to shame this department into pulling it. The comment immediately below says it all:
The next comment points out this paradigm shift as well.
