The Dumbing Down of America is Complete

Can you believe it has been about ten years since the release of Mike Judge’s now iconic film “Idiocracy?” Americans think that the dumbing down of America is so severe that we’re sort of plunging headfirst into a bottomless pit of stupidity that will snowball and pile on until we’re literally living in Idiocracy, but it’s not that cut and dry.

You see, a lot of Americans never leave America. The people who travel come to learn something: the rest of the world isn’t that smart either. The world is kind of like a circus. You’ll meet people who are “book-smart” and don’t have a hint of common sense or ability to fend for themselves in their body, and people might encounter individuals who don’t know a damn thing about the world, but know just how to survive and appreciate life.

Some people are illiterate geniuses: intelligence is not measured in as cut and dry a way as people would prefer to imagine.

However, lets delve into this topic. For the last couple years and probably a little bit before that, headlines have circulated about how the dumbing down of America is complete. If you look close, you’ll notice some of those articles mark certain events as being signals that America is being dumbed down, but there’s another side to the story.

For instance, an article about this noted that criminals are being paid $1000 a month to not shoot people and engage in criminal activity, in Richmond, California, and possibly Sacramento, California. Truthfully, that culture of criminality is something so deep and complicated, it means something much different from society being “dumbed down” in specific.

If people are really trying to understand just how our society is changing and how to be prepared for it, they must look at problems like crime in society from a more nuanced perspective. It’s not just black and white, society being dumbed down: the morals are being stripped from society.

Now, the articles so concerned about crime also are concerned about what that side of the political spectrum would be concerned about, with one reading: “Seventy-five percent of our young adults cannot find Israel on a map of the Middle East, but they sure know how to find smut on the Internet. It may be hard to believe, but there are more than 4 million adult websites on the Internet today, and they get more traffic than Netflix, Amazon and Twitter combined.”

Well they should be able to spot a country on the map that could be safe from the global war machine, like Peru or something. True there’s a lot of adult content the youth can easily access, but what about the agenda to morally degrade people and promote attitudes that border on sociopathy or psychopathy in people?

The statement being made by the article you’re currently reading is this: if there’s an agenda to do anything in our society, like dumb us down, the powers that be have noticed that people are stronger than some malleable, docile cattle who will just lay down and become stupid: the way they think they’re going to control society is by encouraging everyone to be selfish, and discouraging love.

Encouraging hate, and discouraging love: that’s what will destroy a society, the degradation of actually important, foundational morals, and that’s what people should arguably be the most concerned about.

However, there’s no doubt about it, people are also getting dumbed down. If you want more of that, go ahead and keep watching Mark Dice videos. We already know some people are dumb, but you know what? A completely ignorant person in America might just save your life, because even foolish people know how to defend themselves here, and that’s what has been lost on much of the world.

There’s plenty of negativity circulating already, at this point it’s redundant to have an article about how the dumbing down of America is complete.

Let’s set the record straight right now and affirm it: America is not going to be dumbed down, we’re not going to be docile, and we can change that. People can decide for themselves personally whether or not to be ignorant, but for those who care, they’ll find the truth because people are putting the truth out there constantly.
