Child Porn Ringleader Stabbed, Beaten to Death By Fellow Inmates In Prison

A notorious pedophile recently faced street justice while behind bars at a prison in Milan, Michigan. 40-year-old Christian Maire was sentenced to 40 years in prison for running a child exploitation and pornography ring. However, the inmates at the prison decided that death was the proper penalty for his crimes.

The medical examiner determined that Maire died of multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma to the head. The incident is being investigated as a homicide, but no suspects in the case have been announced.

Another member of the child sex ring, 36-year-old Michal Figura, was also badly injured in the attack, but he survived. Two staff members at the prison were also reportedly injured, although the severity of their injuries were not revealed.

Prosecutors described Maire as the “mastermind” of an “egregious crime syndicate” that facilitated the sexual abuse and exploitation of young children.”

Assistant U.S. Attorney Kevin Mulcahy said that these two men were a part of a network that lured children into abusive situations, and then filmed the encounters and released them to the public.

Maire was a part of an organization called the “Bored Group,” which was a pedophile network comprised of mostly computer experts with depraved sexual appetites for underage girls and teens. The men pretended to be teen boys in online chats and then lured the unsuspecting underage girls to private places.

“They hunted girls. They lied to girls. They manipulated girls. … And they did so repeatedly, for years, victimizing more than 100 girls, only a fraction of whom have been positively identified,” Mulcahy said.

Maire denied that he was the mastermind of the ring, but he did admit to his crimes and expressed remorse. During sentencing, Maire told the judge that he “shattered so many lives.”

“I never thought I could sink this low. I apologize to all of my victims. I took advantage of your youth, and trust and put my own selfishness above your dignity,” Maire said.
